TELFest is next week! We hope you are all as excited as we are – our team is busily preparing to welcome you to the event! We’ve got a few quick details for you to help make your time at TELFest as smooth as possible. Registrations have now closed as we are fully booked out.

Dates & Times

Tuesday, 19 November, 2019 – Workshop Day

Workshops run in two sessions on Tuesday, from 10am – 12pm and from 1pm – 3pm, and are open only to registered participants. You will have received confirmation emails from Eventbrite when you registered. Please check your emails to find the specific details for your sessions, or check out the program. Lunch is provided on the day from 12pm – 1pm.

Wednesday, 20 November, 2019 – Main Conference Day

It’s the big day! Registration opens from 8:30am in the Atrium, with the opening session kicking off at 9am in the Hedley Bull Lecture Theatre 1. From there, we have keynotes, panels, presentations, and a showcase session scheduled for the day. Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea are provided. The event concludes at 5:30pm.

Getting there

All TELFest events are held in the Hedley Bull Building #130, located at 130 Garran Road. Check out the campus map for details and wayfinding.

Registration and catering is provided in the Atrium, with sessions held in Hedley Bull Lecture Theatre 1, Lecture Theatre 2, and Seminar Room 3.

What’s on

We’re going green this year, and have opted not to provide printed programs for the event. We encourage everyone to visit the website to find full details of the speakers, abstracts, and session times.

Good to know…

• Please bring a water bottle and/or keep cup to save on disposables.
• BYOD – bring your own device. This will help you access the program and participate in interactive sessions!
• For those attending the Surprising Synergies workshop on Tuesday, please wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat as there is a short walk as part of this session.
• We will be live-streaming the Fireside Chat and the Interactive Panel on Wednesday – follow us on Twitter to access the livestream on the day, and check out the hashtag #TELFest.
• We are having the plenary sessions and presentations recorded to be shared after the event for those who cannot make it.
• You don’t need to print your ticket from Eventbrite – just give us your name when you arrive.
• We appreciate if you can let us know if you are unable to attend.
